The rich and generous Castello del Terriccio 2016 Lupicaia is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The wine is identified with the name of estate owner G.A. Rossi di Medelana on the front label. It opens to dark fruit intensity with blackberry, black cherry, tar, leather and cured tobacco. There is a lot of pretty concentration in this vintage, and it is well balanced by the linearity and precision of the mouthfeel. 95/100 (01.2021)
