The Maffini - Aglianico Siopè 2016 is a deep, dark wine from Cilento – elegant, powerful, and impressively complex. The bouquet opens with delicate plums and a hint of mint, followed by grilled sage, rum-soaked currants, sweet tobacco, and allspice. On the palate, the Siopè is silky and smooth, supported by lively acidity and a tension-filled balance between ripe black cherries and fresh lingonberries. The concentration is exceptional without losing freshness; in the long finish, firm tannins emerge, accompanied by notes of citrus and Mediterranean herbs. Only around 3,000 bottles were produced – a magnificent Aglianico!
