The 2008 Barolo Vigneto Garretti is a pretty, deceptively medium-bodied wine. All of the La Spinetta signatures are present, but with softer tannins that make the Garretti more accessible and pleasurable young than the estate’s top wines. Plums, black cherries, grilled herbs, mint and sage come alive in the glass. This is yet another gorgeous, striking wine from proprietor Giorgio Rivetti and his team. 92/100 (10.2012) - Wine Advocate
