Gantenbein's 2023 Riesling displays a bright yellow color with silver reflections. The nose is deep, pure, fresh and mineral yet also intense and indicates ripe and elegant, concentrated fruit spiced with crushed stones and salt. Juicy, round and savory on the palate, this is a mouthfilling, very elegant, refined and saline dry Riesling that is quite rich and complex but also vital and finessed, and it develops a long and complex finish. Although just bottled (in early spring this year), the 2023 already drinks very well and is stimulating despite its generosity and remains a Riesling like no other. The wine comes from predominantly 34-year-old vines and those that were planted after the spectacular rockfall in December 2017. 94+/100 (06.2025) - Wine Advocate
