The Valpantena Amarone della Valpolicella comes from the hills of the Valpantena Valley, a unique subzone renowned for wines of exceptional elegance and freshness.
The secret of its character lies in the traditional Appassimento method: the grapes of the Corvina and Rondinella varieties are dried on well-ventilated racks for several months after harvest, losing about 30% of their weight. This process intensifies the concentration of aromas, sugars, and acids. After gentle pressing, the wine matures for up to 30 months in oak barrels, giving it incredible complexity and depth.
In the glass, the Valpantena Amarone displays an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it reveals an opulent bouquet of ripe black cherries and forest berries, accompanied by complex notes of chocolate, coffee, tobacco, and sweet spices. On the palate, it is powerful yet silky-smooth, perfectly balanced with ripe, velvety tannins, leading to a very long, warm finish.
