Grasso's 1999 Barolo Gavarini Vigna Chiniera has developed beautifully over the last few years. Still youthful, the 1999 is just beginning to show the faint signs of development in its bouquet. Hints of autumn leaves, spices, dried flowers and cloves all add nuance to the bright red-toned fruit.
