Tasting notes
Intense in its lemon color, the 2018 Chardonnay opens as clear, precise and detailed as the 2022, but it reveals an iodine complexity and concentration that is remarkable, especially for a warm vintage such as 2018. On the palate, this is a rich and complex, very long and multilayered Chardonnay with fine but also quite prominent tannins and fascinating saline acidity. This 2018 combines power and intensity with mineral freshness and a serious tannin structure that currently dominates the wine a little bit too much for my personal taste. 97/100 (03.2024) - robertparker.com
The 2018 Chardonnay offers a clear, fresh, deep and intense bouquet with lemon, mirabelle and flinty notes of crushed stones. Full-bodied, tight and tensioned on the palate, this is a silky, elegant and refreshing yet intense and tensioned Chardonnay with sustainable salinity and mineral grip. 94+/100 (06.2022) - robertparker.com
