Aged in botti for two years, the Brezza 2019 Barolo Sarmassa was initially closed when I tasted it and took a little extra time to find focus. It offers medium-plus intensity and nice definition. However, it does evolve nicely in the glass, going from primary fruit to savory spice and tobacco. These results are quite elegant, and you will especially appreciate the finesse of the mouthfeel. Production is 5,982 bottles plus 283 magnums. 95/100 (01.2025) - Wine Advocate
