The Batzella Bolgheri Superiore Tâm from Castagneto Carducci is – like the Sassicaia – a classically composed blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Cabernet Franc. The grapes are fermented separately, after which the wine matures for 24 months in French barriques, followed by another 12 months of bottle aging that lend it depth and complexity.


The Batzella Bolgheri Superiore Tâm 2021 shows a fresher, more vibrant side. It impresses with clear, ripe fruit aromas of cassis and dark cherries, complemented by subtle smoky spice notes. The structure is defined by precise yet soft tannins and lively acidity, giving the wine freshness and elegance. Despite its density, it remains balanced and approachable, with promising aging potential.


Both vintages reflect the terroir of Bolgheri and the craftsmanship of Batzella. The Bolgheri Rosso Tâm offers excellent value for money and is produced in an annual quantity of only about 7,000 bottles.
