The 1996 Barolo Ginestra Casa Matè is more forward than the Gavarini tasted alongside it. There is enough depth to support a few more years in the cellar, but not much more. Dried cherry, smoke, tobacco and earthy notes add to the wine's mostly mature feel. 90/100 (11.2016) - Vinous
